Pamela Wolfe
The Big Cheese
Your Occupation: Retired. I spent 17 years at FWFD in Safety Education at Safety Village, and 8 years at Three Rivers Running Company. I retired in March of 2017.
How long have you been on the committee? Originally I learned to run with the Rats in Training in 2006. I started on the committee in 2008, and I took over as Director of the race in 2010.
What is your job on the committee? Race Director
What do you enjoy most about volunteering with this event? Giving back to the community. 
What is your most memorable experience with the event? Watching the faces of the runners passing the finish line.

What do you enjoy most about volunteering with this event?
I enjoy the opportunity to work with some of the best people in the running community!
What is your most memorable experience with the event?
My most memorable experience was running in the River City Rat Race for the past several years. Last year, I just jumped in to assist in the setup before and tear down after the race.

What do you enjoy most about volunteering with this event? 
Waving to the volunteers I recruited when running the race
What is your most memorable experience with the event?
I was surprised by Mayor Henry giving me an award for my service to the Rat Race. Also being able to work with my Dad on the committee.

How long have you been on the committee? 
I have been on the committee I believe since 2011; time goes fast! 
What is your job on the committee? 
I have had a few different jobs on the committee, but the last few years have been in charge of water stations. 
What do you enjoy most about volunteering with this event? 
The weather is usually ideal for running, so seeing people in the community being active and running a race for a great cause on a beautiful Sunday afternoon is something I always look forward to!
What is your most memorable experience with the event?
 I ran the event in 2009 for the first time, at that time the 10K was the furthest I had ever run. I remember the fall colors being beautiful and being appreciative of having the opportunity to run that day!

What do you enjoy most about volunteering with this event? 
I have a passion for running and enjoy working with the running community. It’s my way of giving back.
What is your most memorable experience with the event?
 The 2005 race was my first 10K and I became hooked on that distance.

 Since 2009
What is your job on the committee? Advertising, Rats in Training, Race Day Signage & whatever “The Big Cheese” needs done.
What do you enjoy most about volunteering with this event? Working with great people who are also fellow runners and working for a great cause for the YMCA Strong Kids  Program.
What is your most memorable experience with the event? Seeing many of the “Rats in Training” finish their first race or achieve their running goals and seeing former “Rats” continue in other races.
